Kashmiri Kahwa Green Tea
Our association with Kashmiri Kahwa goes back over a century. All through the 1800s, Dharmsala and neighboring tea estates in Kangra supplied most of the green tea to Afghanistan, Kashmir and Central Asia. The Kangra Green Tea exported to these places was used to make a traditional green tea preparation called Kahwah or simply Kahwa. Kahwa, which is traditionally prepared in a brass kettle known as samovar, is usually served as part of celebration dinners, or right after elaborate lunches or dinners.
Today, we bring that rich heritage to you. Our Himalayan Kashmiri Kahwa Green Tea is a rich, fragrant and complex combination of saffron strands, cardamom, cloves, almonds, and cinnamon blended with our green tea. One of our finest green tea blends, kahwa is an embodiment of solace, and is ideal for the times when you are craving a little bit of warmth or an immunity boost.
Our Kashmiri Kahwa is the perfect sensory awakening, with its combination of delightful aroma, exquisite flavour, rich history, warmth of good hospitality and beautiful hues of saffron-y orange colours in the cup.
The richness of Kashmiri Saffron, sourced from our neighbouring Kashmir Valley, complements the spicy aromas of cardamom, cloves and cinnamon, all sourced directly from Kerala, creating an authentic cup of warm, nutty, and spicy Kashmiri Kahwa. As the tea brews, the distinct and unforgettable fragrance of the kahwa, perfected by us over decades, will draw you in, and transport you to the lush valleys of Kashmir. The first sip will give you that perfect harmony of flavours - from the spices to the nuts that come together to elevate the green tea base. The sliced almonds are the perfect icing on the cake, giving you a rich, delectable and refreshing brew.
