Ayurvedic Detox Blend Teabags
Our Ayurvedic Detox Blend is a beautifully crafted blend of Kangra Green Tea and two of the bedrocks of the Ayurvedic diet: Tulsi (Holy Basil) and Adrak (Ginger). Tulsi is the wonder herb of ayurveda with significant anti-stress properties, while ginger offers significant warming and digestive benefits. This popular blend, full of antioxidants to help combat the effects of free radicals, immediately begins detoxifying the body of accumulated ama or toxins. Enjoyed as a part of your regular wellness program, our Ayurvedic Detox Blend is the perfect everyday wellness drink.
Our master tea blenders have worked in conjunction with learned Ayurvedic practioners (vaidyas) to ensure that you get all the benefits of the super ingredients in this delicious, balanced, well-rounded tea. Accordingly, we use two variants of tulsi: Vana tulsi and Rama tulsi. These variants are warm and sweet, with notes of peppermint and cloves. Rama tulsi typically adds a more spicy or clove-like note to the cup, while the Vana tulsi is more fragrant and sweet, with an anise/ fennel-like taste. Add some ginger to these two variants of tulsi, and you get warm and spicy notes in the mix as well.
Kangra Green Tea, which serves as the base tea for this blend, is amongst the best green teas produced in India. It boasts the distinction of having the highest concentration of beneficial polyphenols like EGCG amongst all green teas in India. Our green tea leaves are hand plucked by expert tea pluckers who hand-select the freshest tea leaves. Our tea is freshly packed within 1 day of plucking, so that you not just get the maximum nutritional benefits, but also experience the freshness, rich flavor & unique aroma of Kangra Green Tea.

GINGER
Ginger is one of the best aids to digestion that Ayurveda has to offer. Pungent and warming, it increases the appetite, rekindles the digestive fire or agni, while at the same time clearing toxins and enhancing the body's immunity against a wide variety of bacterial and viral infections. Considered sattvic and rejuvenating, ginger also helps restore vitality by stimulating circulation to the heart, creating a sense of warmth and well-being. This mainstay of Ayurveda is found in almost a dozen of our various Ayurvedic Wellness Teas such as our The Yogi Morning Blend, Ayurvedic Detox Blend, Lemongrass Ginger Green Tea, The Seasonal Immunity Blend, The Winter Sun, Masala Green Tea, Masala Chai, The Breathe Better Blend, and the Trikatu Green Tea.
Kangra Green Tea
Kangra Green Tea has especially high concentrations of catechins and polyphenols like EGCG and EGC that act as potent anti-oxidants that prevent cellular damage caused by free radicals in our bodies. Though catechins have been found in other plants derivatives such as grapes and pomegranates, those found in tea have proven to be the most effective antioxidants known. Additionally, research suggests that catechins like EGCG may reduce inflammation, aid in weight loss, prevent certain chronic conditions related to heart and brain health, and have strong anti-microbial action.
Potential Health Benefits
Each of the Ayurvedic herbs brings its own set of benefits, which are further reinforced and greatly enhanced through a synergistic combination with other herbs that share similar actions.
Tulsi or Holy Basil is the wonder herb of ayurveda. One of the most sacred plants in India, tulsi has an almost immediate uplifting and strengthening effect on the body. An incredibly versatile adaptogen, it helps enhance our resilience to physical, mental and emotional stress
